art in manila is a project led by azure ray’s orenda fink and ex-anniversary’s keyboardist adrianne verhoeven. with angelic cover artwork by surrealist chris lawson, their debut album, set the woods on fire, is full of haunting and emotional ballads wrapped up inside melancholy. orenda still remains intact with reminscent shades of her ethereal voice blending sweetly inbetween complimentary build-ups of hypnotic melodies ascending amongst powerful drums, mellow acoustics and delicate piano arrangements.
