It has been a wonderful two weeks, wherein I have enjoyed some well-deserved time off in the sunshine, listening to great music on the beach. For the second installment of my contribution I am delivering to you what has carried me through my holiday!
P A T H – COMING DOWN
P A T H has certainly been making waves on the scene and he has kicked it up a notch with this intense, genre-bending track that is available for free download.
RYN WEAVER – OCTAHATE
I was instantly captivated by “Ryn Weaver’s” incredible voice, this woman certainly knows how to utilise her natural talent! It has come to my attention it was actually produced by “Cashmere Cat,” these two extraordinary talents combined have created a dynamite of a track.
ZHU – FADED (LIDO REMIX)
Everyone has been doing multiple back flips about the latest hot producer on the scene, “Zhu.” His track. ‘Faded’ has taken the Internet by storm and by all means I think it is great, but it was this remix from Lido that really got my attention. He has really put his stamp on this, with his original, elegant style.
CHET FAKER – GOLD
The latest track Chet Faker has released of his upcoming album has been carefully crafted to the impeccable standard, which only a handful of producers can achieve. He has beautifully built this track with the continuous TLC he has delivered on all of his music over the past few years and this is an exceptional edition to the forthcoming album.
BANKS – DROWNING (DAVE GLASS ANIMAL REMIX)
The combination of “Glass Animals” experimental, Trip-Hop style and “Banks’” sultry, smoky vocals seems like a match made in heaven and I am eager to see if these two acts will work together in the future, as the musical genius in the remix is simply mind blowing!
RHYE – OPEN (SHAM AN REMIX)
The intro to this track is freakily dramatic but once it kicks in you are hit with a warming ambience. Bringing beautiful textures and a soothing, pitched vocal loop, there isn’t much not to like about unique track from the fairly unknown “Sham An.” Plus… it’s free, and we are all partial to a free download or two aren’t we?
