portland, oregon’s the battle of land and sea create lush, dreamy, whimsical folk songs that bring back past memories of mazzy star. together singer/songwriter sarah o’shura and guitarist joshua canny share in experiences from their past and relate them into the future. after forming in 2006 and placing a few songs on myspace, they were signed to nontenuf records and recently, released their self-titled debut with cover artwork by mel kadel.
