.andrew bird.

plays almost everything you hear on his records.

as the first taste of good music may not always be the best, its quite important to give second, third, four, maybe five chances to try again. originally with the squirrel nut zippers, andrew bird goes to prove he’s got a whole other world underneath his sleeve. each of his creations is built on the simple foundation of violin, guitar, voice, whistle, melody, and lyric. within a few more attempts for enjoyable listens, color fireworks float to sounds as his music grows into an imaginary carnival that yr invited to come along inside. full of unexpected surprises, riding upon ferris wheels, yr high without any artificial happiness. its almost as if you can see yr own delusions of grandeur. there’s a lil uncertainty but you can’t help wonder what else is in store.
be patient.
and you feel like you’ve been here before
cos you’ve been here before
yeah you’ve been here before

songs: masterfade, sovay

thankyou to lichtblick for the beautiful photo

About The Author

“One glimpse is all it takes to tell you that Music Is Art is something special. You can start by judging this blog by its cover—it’s one of the best-designed, most aesthetically aware music blogs around—but there’s much more to it than just a pretty template. For one, Danielle, the “dreamer/designer” behind MIA, focuses not only on excellent music, but on art, photography and writing and how they all intersect and inform the music. By sharing the sounds and sights that inspire her, she’s inspiring a growing number of readers on a daily basis. By documenting artists’ creative processes, she’s, in the process, creating a pretty substantial, always-evolving work of art herself.” - Nerd Litter
