because i was in love…

After witnessing Brooklyn’s Sharon Van Etten live last year, it was easy to be immediately entranced by the simplicity of her breathtaking vocals along with an acoustic guitar. In the same vein of DIY acts such as Jana Hunter, Sharon lays out her vulnerabilities, proving that fragility can only make the saddest of hearts grow stronger. Recently, she shared a stunning cover of Morrissey’s The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get, and on May 26 her beautiful debut, Because I Was in Love, will be released through Language of Stone Records.
